A Paper on Evolution

I wrote this for my AP English class, and since I’ve gotten positive feedback both from some friends and my teacher, I decided to post it on here. I apologize for the length, and for the disgusting opening few sentences, but enjoy what you can.

One and Two

1 : My goodness ! It’s the ninth of January, and it’s a new year. What do you want to do this year? Got any resolutions?

2: Well…I have many resolutions! The New Year could be very difficult. My stomach is so fat. It’s like all the regions of France are in there. And I want to become rich. Rich people travel and they have parties in the garden. Their houses are like palaces and they have many cars. Ahhhh…that is the good life. My other resolutions:

The Criticism of Criticism

I’m learning guitar. I’d even go so far as to say that I’m something of a musician; I write my own music from time to time, and I upload it to Facebook so that I can get feedback. However much I look forward to comments while the file is uploading, I sometimes sink into an especially vile strain of cynicism; a sneaking suspicion that few—if any—of the people who leave comments of approval or click the “like” button are being straight with me.
