1 : My goodness ! It’s the ninth of January, and it’s a new year. What do you want to do this year? Got any resolutions?

The Criticism of Criticism
I’m learning guitar. I’d even go so far as to say that I’m something of a musician; I write my own music from time to time, and I upload it to Facebook so that I can get feedback. However much I look forward to comments while the file is uploading, I sometimes sink into an especially vile strain of cynicism; a sneaking suspicion that few—if any—of the people who leave comments of approval or click the “like” button are being straight with me.
